Midnight sun dressage grand prix

It appeared even the evening stayed clear from any rain, quite astonishing for a Swedish midsummer’s eve.
Påvel who had already competed in the show jumping earlier that day was helping Eli getting Nella ready with some pretty flowers in the dark mane. The Lusitano stallion just snorted a little but stood still and more or less just enjoyed being attended to.
When they were done they started the warm up. Påvel watched from the side snickering a bit as Eli had a bit of a hard time to get Nella going; the horse was an angel, but a lazy one, however when you got him going he had incredibly smooth transitions between the gaits and after some promising warm up they were good to go.
Out on the arena in the still warm but slightly moist air Eli and Nella Fantasia were ready to start. Steady as a mothership he was, this horse. Young and promising, floating over this sea of sand. It was pure bliss riding him even if you had to do some extra effort to make him lift his hooves properly…
